Our Licensed Psychologists conduct evaluations for children and adolescents with a suspected or confirmed diagnosis. Evaluations are individualized, with instruments chosen to address specific referral questions and typically involve: a records review, clinical interview, child observation, direct assessment and a feedback meeting. Upon completion of all assessment activities, families participate in a feedback session where test results are reviewed, diagnostic information is given, and specific recommendations for treatment planning are provided. A comprehensive evaluation report is prepared and includes specific, practical recommendations for appropriate educational accommodations, direct treatment planning and therapeutic interventions. Speech and Language Therapy evaluations may be recommended for initial diagnosis, to monitor progress in individuals with confirmed diagnoses, and to provide guidance for intervention purposes. When combined with other assessments additional information is gathered to gain and better understanding of the individuals overall functioning thereby creating a unified interdisciplinary evaluation and report.
