Prior to founding The SEED Center, Mr. Schermer played a key role in the development and establishment of multiple private schools serving individuals with autism and related disabilities. He has also provided consulting services to public school districts, helping them reduce costs while improving efficiency, effectiveness, and student outcomes. A dedicated advocate for families, Mr. Schermer has extensive experience guiding parents through special education law, policies, and services. He has also served as an expert witness in impartial hearings throughout the New York metropolitan area. In addition, he is the former Chairman of the Custom Education Foundation, a nonprofit organization focused on supporting individuals with special needs and their families. Through his clinical expertise, leadership, and commitment to innovation, Mr. Schermer continues to lead The SEED Center’s mission of delivering high-quality, ethical, and effective care while expanding access to services for families in need.
