Contact our state-of-the-art autism treatment center welcoming families from Stamford, Greenwich, Norwalk, Westport, CT and beyond today to learn more about ABA therapy or to schedule an appointment with a member of our team. First Step: Inquiry If you are interested in starting services, the first step is to contact The SEED Center via phone or filling out a request online. Once first contact has been made, one of our Clinical Directors will be in contact with you to discuss ABA therapy, how our services work, and to gain a better understanding of your child. We want to ensure we can be the right fit for your child’s needs. Second Step: Verification To proceed with services, the next step is verifying benefits. To do so, The SEED Center will request a copy of the front and back of your insurance card, a formal autism diagnosis, and any other supporting documents, including an evaluation or IEP. Note that in order for insurance to authorize services, an autism diagnosis from a licensed medical professional must be provided; school diagnoses will not be accepted by insurance. Once insurance has authorized an assessment, we can proceed with scheduling. Third Step: Assessment Once benefits are verified and an authorization for an assessment is received from your insurance company, The SEED Center will schedule the assessments for intake. All of our assessments are completed by one of our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). The goal of the assessment is to evaluate your child’s skill sets, skill deficits, determine how many hours of treatment is necessary based on their needs, and to plan treatment goals. Assessments include: 1 hour initial intake meeting with the client/guardian to obtain background information 2-4 hours of assessment time to evaluate the client, typically scheduled in two sessions 2-4 hours without the client present for our BCBA to complete scoring, writing up a report, and developing The Treatment Plan and ABA Program Book. 1-hour feedback meeting to go over assessment results, recommendations for services, and to schedule ongoing services. Contact Our Autism Treatment Center Today to Schedule an Appointment These meetings and assessments can take place at your home, at The SEED Center, or a combination of both. Once the assessment is complete, The SEED Center will present it to your insurance company for authorization to begin services.
